I wish I had tech. skills, because I'd love to take the guts out of one of these and fashion a compensating Eb cimbasso from it. Not a nice one like this guy, but an old 'beater' that still has decent valves.

Bloke, tear it apart and make me a bizarre looking Eb Frankin-basso. Just be sure to put a heavy duty floor peg on it, it'll be heavy. Then use the bell on a Miraphone or some other tuba that could use help in the tone department. After that, have Santa deliver me the Franken-basso
