I'm just curious as to why I can find so little information about Rudy Meinl Mouthpieces. There doesn't seem to be a clear chart or list on any site that sells them similar to Miraphone mouthpieces or Perantucci. I've looked on the Meinl site as well as a bunch of links on his page to dealers ( I tried 8 or 10 anyway) and there is nothing so far even at the huge Thomann Store site.

The old post linked above says that Tilz make the RM mouthpieces. This hasn't been the case for a very long time, the post was wrong even when it was written in 2005. They are made by J Klier, but if you want information you will be better off emailing Rudi Meinl.

It doesn't really answer your question, but I bought a RM-9 at the Army Band Tuba Workshop which Lee Stofer recommends as a superb mouthpiece for a bass tuba. I have played it for almost 2 weeks now and I concur. The odd part is that it works equally well on my Mira 186. I would try Lee, as he and his staff were quite knowledgeable about the line. Hope this helps!
