smart phone drone app?
Anybody know of a good smart phone app that will play drones in tuba range? (drone: steady tone that I can use to fine tune intonation on things like scales and intervals.)

I can't recommend Tonal Energy enough. It has everything: Tuner, met, pitch generator, spectrum, recorder.
The drones can go as low as a piano and can be stacked (you can sustain multiple pitches). There are multiple different synth sounds you can choose (Piano, Sine Wave, Square Wave, etc). Drones can be played with the met at the same time. You can even switch the drones from Equal to Just intonation. If you have a specific routine that needs different drone sounds (C for 8 beats, B for 8 beats, etc), the app can record the drone output for you to play it back. Furthermore, the tuner still works while playing drones (works best if you're listening to the drone on headphones) so you can both see and hear if you're in tune.
The best $3.99 App around.

I use cello drones. There's a few albums on iTunes that are well worthwhile. I like that they are in the lower register, and provides some more overtones than a standard sine wave style drone.
