Bleah. Just removed the window-mounted swamp and installed a new window -mounted AC today. Hired someone because the AC was too heavy for me to lift (got the swamp out by myself, without falling although it was close.) I did not luck out, got a guy who from the second he walked in the door started trying to sell me on everything else he could do, chat me up, etc, while he was on the clock. As opposed to the one I'd rather have had come, who walks in, does the job, collects his money (same price per hour,) walks back out. This guy....I sent him away after it was basically just sitting in the window because it was clear it wasn't going to get done in the first hour. I can install one fine, but I can't lift one. So it cost me $40 to have it lifted into the window for me.
Bleah. At least it wasn't 98 out YET.
98 again this weekend.
