I've played this horn. It's a good example of its kind and an excellent buy for the right person. If you are looking for the classic german rotor sound and good intonation at a very reasonable price you could do *far* worse than this horn. I'm used to the response that this style of horn has.. for me the response on the dreaded 'low c' is great. Interestingly enough, even tuba players that aren't comfortable with this style of F tuba have a habit of sounding great 'out front' on the 'dreaded low c' on this particular tuba.

Anyone looking to learn to play a *real F tuba* with a *real F tuba sound* and on a tight budget should seriously consider this horn.
