Update 5/25 - Sold pending funds

Another tuba was just consigned at Buddy Roger's Music in Cincinnati; a Sanders Cerveny four rotor piggy CC tuba with hard case for $2200. Horn shows typical lacquer wear for a horn of this age. I'm guessing 1970s vintage but could be wrong.

If you have any questions please message or email me at chite AT buddyrogers DOT com.

Finally got some pictures taken after a quick servicing. There are dents throughout and most noticeably in the bottom bow and guard. Horn plays pretty well in tune and the only note that I had to use an alternate was third space d# (2-3). Second valve was really flat. Rotors and slides work well and everything got a good coating of Hetman lubricants.

The case that comes with the horn is the large heavy wooden model. The interior is in good shape and the exterior shows predictable wear around the bell.

This is a consignment instrument and is sold as is. Shipping costs would be borne by the purchaser and limited to the lower 48. I plan on showing this tuba at our booth at the Army Workshop at Ft. Myer.

I believe "SANDERS" suggests that this was a tuba imported by Fred Merrick at Custom Music in the 1980's. It could be earlier but not early 1970's at all.

I don't know Alex, but the bell engraving and the S linkages are consistent with Cerveny from the early 70's I had a Sanders from the late 70's with different engraving and linkages, and this one is older than mine was

The tuba is still for sale. The seller is motivated to move it. Please call or email me if interested.
