What am I missing here?!?

I was wondering about this mouthpiece on this fine MW. It seems to be rather large looking and I think that is a bigger F tuba. Is it a heavy model of some sort? http://www.meinl-weston.com/Titan46S-LP.htm

It's a Romera Brass Mel Culbertson model mouthpiece.

Part of it flares out to about the size of a baseball, making it look like a bowling ball hanging off the side of the tuba.

I believe the company is located in Spain, if I recall correctly.

I'll see if I can find a picture of one.
