Old German Eb tuba

Postby bigtubby » Wed Aug 08, 2018 8:44 pm

Recently bought this carcass mainly for the clocksprings - and tubing/valve for an Eb monster 4th valve addition.

Sans bell but otherwise pretty complete and probably salvageable, especially since I have a bell that will work for it. Two questions for the TNFJ:

1. Whatzit? Based on one Horn-U-Copia photo, I'm leaning toward Miraphone/Mirafone:

2. Is there a market for German Eb tubas? While I'm happy to part it out, if it might have value to someone as a player, that's even better.

Looks like an old Miraphone/Mirafone 183.
Mack-a-clone 186 "Chairman Mao"
Blokepiece Imperial #2 Fair Dinkum Profundo Rim
Lignatone Eb "Charlene"
Blokepiece Solo
Why have 3 valves when you can have 6 and a main tuning slide kicker???
