Re: What is on this mouthpiece?To assist patrons of professional symphony orchestra concerts with tolerating the intentionally-out-balance-low-range-blatting-because-I-can phenomenon (most recently: egged on by the $9999 6/4 mock-up craze), that device (developed by Maxwell Smart, actually, of CONTROL) is called a Cone Of Silence®.
![]() It is also very effective in visually cloaking the required incorrectly-formed embouchures so that wannabe-blatting students do not pick up on this bad habit exhibited by some professionals. ![]()
Re: What is on this mouthpiece?If you look at the Romera Brass Instrument web site under Signature mouthpieces, you'll see that he has a custom mouthpiece named for him, but the three pictures do not really show a mouthpiece except in the worst possible view. Helpful, it's not.
