My studio at the University of North Alabama will be holding three main audition dates for the Fall 2019 semester. Please feel free to get in touch with any questions you may have. UNA is located roughly 2 hours from Memphis and Nashville, and 1 hour from Huntsville. Audition information can be found here: https://una.edu/music/prospective-students/index.html

The University of North Alabama currently offers an out-of-state tuition waiver for students who receive a $250 scholarship or more to participate in the ensembles. Our current minimum Band Performance award is $500. In-state tuition is currently $4,155 for 12-18 credits per semester. More information on housing, tuition and fees can be found here: https://una.edu/music/prospective-students/index.html

The largest performance ensemble is the UNA Marching Band, with 220+ members that perform at home football games as well as marching band events throughout the region, including Bands of America competitions. We also house the Shoals Symphony @ UNA, which is a local orchestra with both community members and scholarship students. More about our ensembles can be found here: https://www.una.edu/tuition/tuition-and-fees.html

This is my second year at UNA and we have recently completed the process to form a Student Organization on campus. In February 2018, this helped us host the Center City Brass Quintet for 3 days, and we are currently working on some major events in the Spring Semester. My previous studios have been highly active with ITEA, and helped sponsor trips to the regional and international ITEA conferences. The studio also has hosted tuba/euphonium artists including Carol Jantsch (Philadelphia), Don Harry (Buffalo and Eastman), David Earll (Ithaca College), Craig Knox (Pittsburgh, Center City Brass Quintet), Lance LaDuke (Carnegie Mellon), Tony Kniffen (Indianapolis), Chris Pearlberg (Luzerne Festival), and John DiCesare (Seattle). I am in the process of contacting performers to continue this tradition.
