Just on a quick browse I noticed they have some cool old Conn tubas too. One is a rotary horn even. Neat stuff!

I've played that Conn rotary if it's the same one that's been there for quite a while. I like it, but don't have the room.............

Re: Besson Recording Bass at Baltimore Brass
I hated that tuba when I played it almost 2 years ago. It had 1 good note, low BBb, which was the most huge, awesome, thunderous, outrageous low BBb I've ever played. Every other note sucked. I couldn't get anything close to a scale out of that tuba, no matter how hard I tried.Heavy_Metal wrote:I've played that Conn rotary if it's the same one that's been there for quite a while. Needs a valve job? Air leaks? Since then has been fixed? Perhaps I'm just a terrible player?
I wanted so badly to like that tuba, but it was not on the same planet for me.

When one says “odd looking English tuba” this image pops right into my head!!
