I have heard of places that can thread your mouthpiece(s). I remember talking to someone who did that in Colorado. Maybe Dale can verify. It can be done though..

Rims and cups can be cut apart, threaded, altered, etc., to the point of having a totally different mouthpiece, so the work CAN be done.
I would get in touch with Dillon Music's custom moutpiece maker and tell him what you want...I don't think you'd have any problem getting it. They've done some excellent work for me.

In the past, I've had him make up a frankenmouthpiece and he does nice work.
