Postby Lukowicz » Tue Jan 15, 2019 11:14 am

My low brass studio at the University of North Alabama will be holding two more audition dates for the Fall 2019 semester. Please feel free to get in touch with any questions you may have. UNA is located roughly 2 hours from Memphis and Nashville, and 1 hour from Huntsville. Audition information can be found here: https://una.edu/music/prospective-students/index.html

The University of North Alabama currently offers an out-of-state tuition waiver for students who receive a $250 scholarship or more to participate in the ensembles. Our current minimum Band Performance award is $500. In-state tuition is currently $4,155 for 12-18 credits per semester. More information on housing, tuition and fees can be found here: https://una.edu/music/prospective-students/index.html

Here is a video clip of our 2018 Year in Review, with music by the Freshman Low Brass Quintet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o49y4_ZOvwM

besides good-school/good-teacher, that's a really nice little area of the world. There are many things that are special about northern Alabama.

Basically, Huntsville is chocked full of "smarts" and The Shoals (about an hour away...four cities all next to each other: Florence, Muscle Shoals, Tuscumbia, Sheffield) is chocked full of "arts".

Day trips (concerts, festivals, whatever) are easy to Nashville, Chattanooga, Birmingham, and Atlanta are easy...
...and even to Jackson, TN...if one of the per-service orchestras with which I'm associated happens to have programmed something of interest to you.
