Removing dent from left bow

Post by IsaacTuba »

Some absolute buffoon thought slamming his tuba case closed while not looking around him was a good idea, and my tuba that I was holding got caught in its path. There’s a pretty nasty dent on the front part of the left bow and the wrap next to it. How much do you guys think this will cost to fix? I know it won’t be cheap, it’s in probably the hardest part to reach of the horn.

Did it smash in the bow guard? If so, that makes it much harder to fix considering you have to unsold that to get the dent out. You could post a Google Drive link for the pictures or ask somebody how to attach them here. I don't know how to do that. More than likely one of the many fine repairmen on this board will know what to tell you!

Luckily no, it just dented the area below it. It could probably be fixed with magnets but they're in such a tough spot.
