These are very common on large/expensive electronic shipments, and work quite well. There are sensore for shock, as well as being tipped. Bottom line is that if it shows up triggered, you instantly report that to the carrier, and either inspect before you let them leave or reject the shipment outright. It prevents the carrier from lying about mishandling, and while they may not get the package treated any better, they certainly help prove that they abused it . . .
