***SOLD***
Reynolds Contempora Model TB-12 BBb recording tuba, 4 valves with non-functioning first valve slide tuning mechanism. (With the 4th valve, the first valve tuning mechanism is not really that necessary; it was part of the original three valve design). Functional condition cases are included also.
Manufactured appx. 1966. S/N 218XXX.
This is the Model TB-12-- Bore: .687″, Bell: 23″, 50½” height.
This horn was cleaned and serviced by my excellent local tech. All slides and valves are working as they should. lacquer is probably about 50%.
Dents & dings throughout, commensurate with its age. A few dents larger than a tuba players thumbprint, see pictures
The overall sound and response is very similar to the old model King 1241/2341, but a bigger sound. If the King is a 4/4, this is a 5/4.
Perfect for those outdoor concerts/gigs.

Located in Tucson Arizona. Shipping will be by Greyhound package express to CONUS only.
$1395 plus $175 shipping. Venmo or PayPal.
Why am I selling? I found the same horn in overall better condition and don't need two of these.
Thanks for looking,
Eric L.

Unsolicited bump from me. Eric is a pleasure to work with and as always he's offering a good deal. This one would be perfect for someone who's been out of the game for a while and wants to start playing in a community band again. It's a good enough price to be worth buying now during quarantine and practicing for next season.

Thanks for the bump and the positive words, Levaix.
Thanks for the suggestion Joe. I will get some piston pics up soon. For now I believe number one and two have good compression/pop, 3 and 4 not as much. Not sure about the valve plating; I haven't played this particular horn in a couple months and don't recall - pretty sure there's wear on all of them but none beyond usable/workable.
