School Concert Band audition

Go with what YOU are comfortable with. You're trying to show off what you can do. How do these people know that you've only just learned a piece? Is the solo the only part of the audition? If not, work on sight reading, band excerpts, or whatever... but decide what you will feel best projecting in your music. My guess is that it is "I know this music really well, and I'm going to knock you out with how well I can do this and with my full musical thought".
