FS: Willson 2900 w/ case - $5,500 - SOLD

Post by mshipes »

Hi Everyone,

I am selling my Willson 2900, serial number W2249, medium/euro shank. I bought the horn new in 2003 and it has been great, it is just time for a change! This horn has been chem-cleaned in the last year and is in excellent condition. It plays perfectly and the valves all operate extremely well.

This is the instrument that I won the USAF Band audition with in 2012 - it's one of the good ones!

This includes the original Willson case that came with the horn.

The instrument is located in Athens, GA. I would prefer to hand off to the next owner but we can talk about shipping if needed. I'm willing to drive to meet up.

Here is a fairly recent recording of the horn in action from a recital in January, Cécile Chaminade's Concertino for Flute - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWJCDFIhxdI

Condition description:

This horn is a tank! The silver finish is in great condition, but there is some light scratching on the backside (visible in photo 0930), there is also one scratch on the front side to the right of the Willson logo (slightly visible in photo 0932). The bell is dented slightly on the front of the instrument - this can be fixed for next-to-nothing the next time the horn is cleaned. There are also some scratches above the 4th-valve slide that aren't really visible.

I'm happy to answer any more questions you might have. Thanks!
