UPDATE: I have somebody looking at the horn

Looking to sell my B&S PT-4. It’s the 5 valve rotary model. Asking 4,000. This was a fanatic horn that served me well through gigging and through my degrees (orchestral, pit, quintet, band, church, jazz, etc)

This is a great "all around" horn and would be a good college horn or if you are looking to downsize. The only reason I’m letting it go is that I only play jazz and "groove" music and can't justify holding on to a horn that I don't play or have a need for.

The bad: there is a decent amount of laquer wear around the bottom of the horn and some spotting throughout but it’s purely cosmetic. There are two very small dings on the bottom of the horn (see pictures) but those are just on the silver plate and not the tubing. There is a patch on the first valve slide (has not affected intonation or playing).

The good: I had this horn regularly cleaned and worked on (about once every year) since it was purchased in 2003. The valves have been vented. It was just chem cleaned this past October and is in great shape. It's an even and easy to play horn. Low end is easy to navigate and has good punch. I loved playing through the Snedecor book on this thing!

It comes with an extension for the 5th valve (I never used) a Tuba World soft case and a really old hard case. I did use the hard case for flight travel a number of times, but would recommend upgrading.
