SOLD- Marzan CC Piston Solo Model
For sale is my 4 valve piston solo model CC Marzan tuba in very good to excellent condition. The horn comes with a nice side loading gig bag that fits it like a glove. I have owned the instrument since 1978. When I was a student at Indiana University, Harvey Phillips borrowed the horn for a week or two. He told me that Fred Marzan used his (Harvey's) as a model for this tuba and wanted to call it the "Phillips model." Several years ago, I had Dennis Houghton (Houghton Horns) replace the original leadpipe with one that is slightly larger. The tuba has excellent pitch and a very sweet tone. The tuba is located in the Dallas, Texas area. I prefer not to ship... but the issue is not out of the question. I'm willing to travel a reasonable distance to meet potential buyers.
