Arkansas Tech University has made a hire. He is a recent graduate from the University of Arkansas, or so I hear?
Can anyone confirm this or provide a name?

I am now teaching tuba/euphonium and Brass Pedagogy at Alma College here in Michigan!
I saw ghost riders in the sky, and they each played a York EEb tuba.

Arkansas Tech has hired an adjunct. His name is Jason Tacker and is finishing up his grad assistant work at the University of Arkansas. He got his bachelor's at Arkansas State under Dr. Ed Owen, a product of Mr. Volta "Andy" Anders.
PM me for any other information.

Couldn't have said it better myself! I'm expecting great things out of him, and I've had the opportunity to play alongside Jason with the Arkansas Intercollegiate Band this past year. A very fine tuba player!artuba wrote:Arkansas Tech has hired an adjunct. His name is Jason Tacker and is finishing up his grad assistant work at the University of Arkansas. Re: College Positions 2008
Just wanted to let everyone know that I am currently teaching Tuba and Euphonium at Austin Peay State University. For those of you who have helped me along the way thank you so much for your support and teaching. If it wasn't for my studio teachers I would not be in this position today. I also wanted to inform everyone that I have completed my DMA from the University of Memphis under the direction of Dr. John Mueller and Dr. Charles Schulz.
Thanks all!

I moved this summer! My wife got a job up there. I have family that lives in Memphis and will be visiting often and am willing to commute to gigs so don't count me out yet.
Hope all is well

Any students in AISD or the Abilene area looking for an instructor can PM me for more information.
Good luck to everyone this school year!

I REALLY need to take a lesson or two with you before graduate school auditions in dec/jan, im currently playing the plog, RVW, aboriginal voices, hindemith, marcello 5, cheetham sonata for my senior recital and other stuff.
I know where the MCMurry bandhall is, is the music building near?
jmg04d@acu.edu" target="_blank" target="_blank or PM me on here if ur ever available....
I dont know about the rest of tubenet, but I think it is good to have a couple lessons now and then away from your applied professor to get another view on your playing, people see things differently and such.
Hope your not getting flooded by the towns nonexistent drainage system
Again congrads
Hey tubashaman....I sent a PM...would love to get a chance to work with you. Contact me so that we can work something out.
Cheers!

There is a great Steak house in just outside of Buffalo Gap called the Perrini (sp?) Ranch. Also, the ribs at Joe Allens are pretty good.
