You messed up that beautiful bell with that ugly thing. Eewwwwww.........Got to fix that. That's worse than a beautiful girl smoking a cigar.
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.

Much better because the glaring non-sophisticated tech-look has been covered up.
bloke has become the type, who fixes major problems with duct tape.

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

I suppose that, as one ages, it's difficult to play a Sousaphone loudly enough to be heard without amplification.

Sometimes the buttons are just so big that you can't resist pushing them...bloke wrote:yeah...yeah...yeah...blah...blah...blah...sloan wrote:I suppose that, as one ages, it's difficult to play a Sousaphone loudly enough to be heard without amplification.![]()
Let's hear Alan, Gene, Warren (back in his prime), or even Eric Von Schteric (dur vorld's loudest tuber player - according to Mad Magazine) acoustically balance with amplified trumpets, amplified trombones, amplified saxes, amplified keyboard(s), and amplified DRUMS.
Say - that "Roots" guy does OK without a peace symbol on his bell.

Re: PICK OUT A SHIRT FOR MY GIG !!!
heh. he uses a tiny mic on a thin gooseneck sort of clip. I think, unless you are into spending a fortune on mics, blokes set up gives a better sound than most of the little condensors out there. When I looked into them a little bit back, most seemed to have a huge performance drop off at about 70 hz, since 60-ish is a low Bb.....that's not gonna fly most of the time. even if the overtones are covered.sloan wrote:
