Nice work, and a great idea too! 8)

You mentioned the 4th valve - does that mean it's a dependent 5th? (It's hard to decipher from your photos). (Edited - now I see it...not enough coffee yet.... )

It would also be interesting to see how you worked out the linkage.

Mark, I'm also curious about your hexagonal back rotor caps. I've never seen anything like them before.

Cool, so maybe not as much benefit to those thicker brass tubas of today, thinking MW?

I believe those heaxgonal brass caps were made by some guy in Mesquite, TX.

What you see is what you get. Just a simple thumb activated lever and a pony tail band I stole from my wife
Right hand thumb I assume? Or do you sneak your left hand in there somehow? I'd like to see a picture from the front if that's where the lever is. Thanks! Great work!

Hi Mark,
Do you know if those valve "caps" are still available? I did send an email to the address listed on the page but have not yet received a reply. (only sent it last night)
Thanks,
Pete

One of the things I did in my rotors, when I had my Piggy and my 6 valve MW F tuba, was to put thick brass washers under the caps. It worked well.
