TubaEuph site?

Post by Alex F »

Does anyone know what's going on with the TubaEuph site (forum.alex281.com)? I've been trying it since Saturday and all I get is an error message. As many of you know, the site was hacked a few months ago and most of the older threads were lost.

I e-mailes TubaAS through this site last nite and Andy replied saying that he could not make contact with Alex either.

I just tried it, and got the error message too:

message_die() was called multiple times. This isn't supposed to happen. Was message_die() used in page_tail.php?

Wonder if they're doing a software upgrade? :?:

I think the site was hacked again. The php software for 'TubaEuphorum' has not been updated so it's easy to be hacked. Alex says he'll lose a lot of the special features he's added if he updates the software.

I wonder why someone would waste their time hacking a site like that? All it's doing is annoying a very small demographic.

This is certainly not an example of maximum damage effect, but I have a difficult time understanding why there are people who enjoy making the world a less pleasant place to live. It seems contrary to anything which makes any sense to me.

Although I don't know who you're talking about, I would say it's unlikely. The first time it was hacked, a group claimed responsibility, and they had also hacked a bass guitar manufacturers website around the same time, so I would suspect that it's the same group. Although who knows.

Just his forum is down... His main webpage is still up (http://www.alex281.com). Don't know if that means anything, just thought it was interesting...

It's interesting that one of the last entries in the journal on his web page is about finding a girlfriend. Maybe that has something to do with his absence! .... Can't imagine
