Suggested sources for this?

I used to own this MANY years ago. I think I loaned it to a student never to be seen again. I seem to recall that Knaub had some excellent commentary in the introduction. Honestly, that's all I'm interested in but I'll buy the book for the opportunity to relive those thoughts.

Thanks! :)

I can vouch for the interesting, informative material at the front pages of the book---it's a very worthwhile publication. Alas, it's out of print, and I sold my copy. I hope I can find another.

Is this the Donald Knaub that taught trombone at the University of Texas for during the 80's-90's? He might still be around the Austin area. Could always hunting down and seeing if he could help you out. Great guy, I always enjoyed working with him while I was in school.

I don't know where one could locate Mr. Knaub, however your description of him seems to be spot on.
