Cool!
I don't know anything about the new guy, but I believe Walter Hilgers played a 6+kicker F (I'm nost sure which one, as I believe the Melton website show a small and large Hilgers F) and a MW 197 (?) when he was in the German Brass. The sound with him and Uwe Fussel on contrabass trombone rather warmed my heart.

I'm pretty sure Hilgers played a Model 45H-S with a quint valve on the Bach DVD. The Bb was a Boehm and Meinl I think that the 197 is a copy of.

The 197 is a copy of a large Bohland & Fuchs BBb tuba.

Your exactly right, I was thinking of another horn at the time. He produces an awesome sound on that horn
