I saw Ron the last time I played with the Boise Philharmonic a few years ago. I had one of his mutes that was in pretty bad shape (he was not pleased!) and he gave me some pointers on fixing it myself. He is retired and I don't think he has made the mutes for many years. There may be somebody else that makes a similar mute.
