I saw Ron the last time I played with the Boise Philharmonic a few years ago. I had one of his mutes that was in pretty bad shape (he was not pleased!) and he gave me some pointers on fixing it myself. He is retired and I don't think he has made the mutes for many years. There may be somebody else that makes a similar mute.

I just got one a few months ago from Ron. His email is rsapperson@yahoo.com" target="_blank Sometimes he takes a while to email back.

Wow. I stand corrected. I had no idea he was still making these. They really are nice mutes.
