We might both say we’re hearing ‘music’ but the actual numbers processed might not be the same at all – the brain is able to perceive musical structure despite large distortions."
This is a direct explanation of why a van will pull up next to you at a stoplight, and all YOU hear is, thumpa..thumpa,thump.
