"Cool" part of Hartford, CT
I'm going to find myself in Hartford, CT this weekend, and need to book a hotel for Saturday night. What neighborhood is the "cool" neighborhood, where I could easily walk to restaurants, bars, etc.? Or, what's the closest thing to that?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Yeah yeah, that's why I'm asking. If I'm going to be there, where should I be?ToobaNoob wrote:World's biggest oxymoron...bort wrote:I'm going to find myself in Hartford, CT ... What neighborhood is the "cool" neighborhood...

I'll ask my friend in town from Yale tonight at our rehearsal...he gets up to Hartford quite often and will surely know of some places to go.

Oh, he'll know. Ask him to tell you some stories about a latin music club he gigs at.Todd S. Malicoate wrote:I'll ask my friend in town from Yale tonight at our rehearsal...he gets up to Hartford quite often and will surely know of some places to go.

No doubt, Ralph.TexTuba wrote:Oh, he'll know. Ask him to tell you some stories about a latin music club he gigs at.
I do find it somewhat amusing that a graduate student at Yale feels compelled to fly a pianist in from Oklahoma because of the difficulty obtaining one there for his masters recital. Doesn't speak well of the fellowship among musicians there.
