"Cool" part of Hartford, CT

Post by bort »

I'm going to find myself in Hartford, CT this weekend, and need to book a hotel for Saturday night. What neighborhood is the "cool" neighborhood, where I could easily walk to restaurants, bars, etc.? Or, what's the closest thing to that? :)

Thanks!

World's biggest oxymoron...
Yeah yeah, that's why I'm asking. If I'm going to be there, where should I be? :)

I'll ask my friend in town from Yale tonight at our rehearsal...he gets up to Hartford quite often and will surely know of some places to go.

Oh, he'll know. Ask him to tell you some stories about a latin music club he gigs at.

No doubt, Ralph.

I do find it somewhat amusing that a graduate student at Yale feels compelled to fly a pianist in from Oklahoma because of the difficulty obtaining one there for his masters recital. Doesn't speak well of the fellowship among musicians there.
