I believe you're right about that. In my opinion, 9-11 was a much greater tragedy. I am not downplaying the horror of Kennedy's assasination. He was just one man. Sept. 11 had such loss of life. Watching people jump to their deaths was unbelievably horrible.

I'll be 30 in April. September 11 happened during my first week of college. It was a very surreal experience, having grown up in the shadow of Manhattan, I had seen those towers every day of my life, and was away at school for the first time when they came down. Couldn't really process what had happened until I went home that weekend and could see for myself that they were gone.

I will be 59 in November, I was a fourth grader and do remember the day, school was let out early,
stores closed in my small hometown. The adults and vets were freaking out. It was the only topic
the media covered. If I recall correctly, It was when I started to really remember Walter Cronkite
on the television.
