Antigua's are decent student horns, we carry or at least carried some of their sopranos... not bad, not amazing.
Good price.

If it's Taiwanese Accent, you might want to see if there's a Selmer Aristocrat or Conn Director Bari Sax, same factory, slightly different bracing, and in this region it would be cheaper but we price pretty honestly at my store.bloke wrote:edit: The current "Accent" (a significant upgrade from their previous saxes) alto and tenor are just about the same as these others - though Accent doesn't seem to offer many options (finishes/bell sizes, trim, etc). I don't know if the Accent bari is of the same quality as the Antigua/Cannonball/Winston, but it might be worth looking into.

Thanks,

As a former CS employee, I can tell you that the BS500 is a good instrument. Last I knew, it was a Vietnamese made instrument, and replacement parts were readily available. The 500 line always has had good support from the overseas manufacturer. The next model up doesn't have the same level of support, at least from my last report. Hope this helps!
