Thunderstorms...
Planes can fly over and around them, but can't take off or land in them. I've been trying to get out of the Boston area all afternoon, was cancelled at 2 different airports now. Time to get a car and drive.

I don't mind the "bumps" as long as he doesn't "grind" at the same time. That would constitute a "gripe".

Re: stupid gripes thread
It doesn't necessarily mean that it will be like that forever. I ran the matrix of my left middle fingernail through a table saw 30 odd years ago and was embarrassed for anyone to see it for 10 years. All of a sudden it returned to normal and stayed that way for ten. Then over a period of 2 or 3 years it gradually deformed again until now the nail looks ok but I have some weird looking growth on the cuticle that I have to remove every couple of weeks. At least you can wear socks Wade.

Re: stupid gripes thread
When I was a kid, a quack completely removed the nail of my left big toe because it was severely ingrown.... and said it would grow back normally. It has never has been right and grows in layers. Ugly but doesn't cause any problems.the elephant wrote:The toenail I crushed finally fell off about four months ago after a year of doggedly trying to stay on my toe. When your freind buys a used Jupiter sousaphone with worn valves and thinks it's a good buy while expecting no issues down the road.

Don't buy Jupiter sousaphones should be common sense.

It depends on what the meaning of the word 'AC' is.

Re: stupid gripes thread
Everything with some programmers (now "developers") is an argument. I changed a timeout in the registry for this guy's database and told him he needed to reboot for it to take effect. He insisted he did not need to reboot. Now he is complaining it didn't fix the problem. I told him to reboot. He won't and says I didn't change the right thing, even though that is what Microsoft said to change.
