Motivation.

Post by Ames0325 »

What motivates you?

I have to write a speech about motivation for a class and thought it would be boring ut have actually learned some interesting things and was jsut curious what sorts of things motivated other Tubenetters. Also what UNmotivates you?

THe thing that probably is the most motivating to me is the prospect of downtime...if I know I will get more tiem to relax and hang out with friends and curl up with my books and things by completing a task or working more quickly it usually motivates me alot.

The thing that is the most Unmotivating thing to me is being yelled at etc....

What motivates most guys and the reason so many of us play music is our never-ending obsession to woo women.

.....because as all of us know and as history tells us, the tuba is the ancient instrument of the wooing of women..... :!:

Whew! At least now I know why I play the tuba. Maybe someday soon I will discover my "special purpose."

As for what motivates me, there are many things which do. One of these is the anticipated goal of achievement. For instance, I am motivated to practice tuba because I anticipate playing it well when I need to do so. I furthermore fear the possibility of failure to play well when I need to, if I do not practice regularly.

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

the idea that something I may do, or something I don't do, might make someone's life better, if even for a moment.

I am motivated by God's plan for my life and my own work ethic. I must do things for myself or I do not appreciate what I have.

I am unmotivated by those who take it upon themselves to punish me for making honest mistakes for trying to do the right thing. I call this the downside of tough love.
