Husqvarna chainsaws

Poulan and Huskqvarna are both owned by the Electroloux company. I have a Huskqvarna chan saw 55. It works great. I also have a McCoulloch Mac Cat chain saw. Does anyone have any info on McCoulloch Mac Cat as for as parts?

Ok, I have a little Ecko--probably not what you need. My father, a well versed Wisconsin woodsman (where there are real trees--Ha Ha) highly recommends the Stihl. I'll ask him about Husqvarna, I've never heard the name before.

Ryan, we don't argue--we "discuss" (unless Joe wants to "discuss" that).

Maybe just about any chainsaw of sufficient power would do for what Joe wants to do. What's just as important is maintenance. Keeping the saw clean (wood chips and dust can foul air filters and drives pretty quickly), the chain sharp (if you're working all day, you should expect to sharpen it at least twice--more if you're cutting in dusty or muddy conditions) and the saw adjusted will go a very long way.

And when you put the saw away, make sure that the gas tank's empty--old gas mix will clog carb jets and generally make for miserable running.

Actually, IT doesn't seem like IT would be possible to do IT, but if IT isn't too busy around here tomorrow, I guess I can try to do IT. IT also depends on whether IT rains or not. If IT does, IT will be too wet to even GET to the mightiest tree in the forest.
