It very well might! Worth a try. I think it's shorter than a standard bass/contrabass tuba mouthpiece, so you might have to pull the main tuning slide a bit to bring it back in tune.Bob1062 wrote:Does anyone think that the tenor tuba mouthpiece could work out decent-to-good in my little Eb?

Re: Bob tenor tuba mouthpiece
JK mouthpieces are excellent for the kind of in-between situation you are looking for.Bob1062 wrote:Even better, does anyone have any experience with the Joseph Klier contrabass trombone mouthpieces as well?![]()
I use a JK 5E tuba mouthpiece on my cimbasso, and have a JK KBP-2A and a 1A for my contrabass trombone. The 2A came with the horn and felt too small... about the size of some of the big bass trombone mouthpieces currently on the market. The 1A works better for me, more of that in-between a bass trombone and tuba size, and really works for me on the contrabass.
If you look at their website they have a very comprehensive listing of their sizes. http://www.jk-klier.de/
