Phoenix, Arizona

In the last year, one of my best friends and my brother's best friend have moved to the Phoenix, Arizona area. I thought nothing of this until this past week. In a span of 1 week, my brother's friend called him and asked him to move there as well. This friend and his wife told him that they have a job for him and would let him stay with them until he could secure his own housing. This week, a headhunter called me to offer me several jobs, one of which was in the Phoenix area. The funny thing is that he found me from a resume that was online and not updated for the last 4 years. My question is this: Why are so many folks moving to Phoenix and are they that short of qualified workers? Someone familiar with this area please fill me in. Don't get me wrong....I wish I could go. Not because I don't like where I am, but because the jobs pay significantly more than I make now. (Family issues will not allow me to leave at this time).
