tuba FS
I am considering selling my Conn Donatelli CC, 4+1. This is a rare tuba, consistant in size with most 4/4 - 5/4 tubas and with an American sound. It was built in 1929 to Phillip Donatelli's (New York Philharmonic tuba player) specifications. While this is an older instrument in raw brass and never overhauled, it is in terrific used condition and has been well cared for by professional owners since it was made. I am asking $6000 and that includes a gig bag.
If your friend is in college, I would recommend he talk to his teacher first and then have him e-mail me at
alexcauthen@yahoo.com
If he is still in high school, I recommend he buy a Miraphone 187 or 188. That will serve him well through a couple of years of college until he has a more clear idea of what he wants to sound like.
