Let's hear you!
Acidplanet is a free site hosted by Sony that lets you upload your performances/songs/compositions etc. for others to appreciate.
I have used it since the Summer of 2004;
http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?so ... 069&T=9092
and so far only Cale Self;
http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?AID=320424&t=6078
Sue Vel (Baritone);
http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?so ... 224&T=5922
Seth Jervis;
http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?so ... 828&T=5418
and young Euphba;
http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?so ... 870&T=4000
have appeared as soloists. (Let me know if I've missed anyone.)
In addition, a 10 piece brass group from Sweden are listed, as Brassox;
http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?so ... 345&T=9660
as well as my low brass quartet;
http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?so ... 204&t=6578
Some great writers are also on there like Knuxie;
http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?so ... 055&T=6185
and Joemis;
http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?so ... 259&T=6908
from this board. But there are are of course, thousands of others too.
Registration is free, all you have to do is convert your sound files to wma files and upload, takes a few minutes each track.
How about it..........?

The terms of service for this site make me a little nervous. From what I can see, Sony claims all exclusive rights to what is posted on Acidplanet.
In other words, it seems to me that if Sony likes anything they hear on the site they can claim it and release it in any way that they want without further permission.
Any other thoughts out there on this?

Not Acid Planet, but Dave Werden has added many new files to Cimarron site:
http://www.cimarronmusic.com
On the homepage, search "Werden". You will find a bunch! I know he just put up files for CM 87 Four Caprices and CM 1073 Concert Polka: Jennie Wren
____
If you happen to see posts by Ray Grim on Tubenet, we just uploaded his CM 364 Susie Polka as performed on Prairie Home Companion.

"CrappyEuph" needs to find a new handle. That's excellent! I see from his profile that he lives in Denton, TX. I suspect he's a product of Brian Bowman's.

By the way...
Thanks for the reviews from the guys who left them. I haven't been on the site much since I put it up; the euphonium recording was actually there because it was easier than sending a file via email or instant messenger to friends. I may put up more recordings, but I wasn't planning on it.
That recording was one of the two for the ITEC euphonium competition; I'm sure some of the other people that recorded it did much better than I did.
I was just wondering though, how did you guys discover me so quickly? I only told a few friends about it. Not that I mind, though.
Nick
PS: To the people that haven't visited, I also have a recording of me playing Caravan on bass with a few friends, and a few techno tunes I mixed as fun.

Hi -
I've just updated my AcidPlanet site with several new pieces. The first three tracks are a really cool and unique three-movement piece by Patrick Schulz called RoonSonata - if you're looking for something new to play on your recital, check out this piece for sure.
Here is my artist page:
http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?so ... 422&T=1133
And here is where you can order RoonSonata:

Thanks,
Jamie
