I would recommend the Royal Northern College Wind Orchestra recording of Holst and Vaughan Williams. It's got First and Second Suite on there, Hammersmith, Toccata Marziale, and some other great pieces. I also like the UNT Wind Ensemble recording of Hindemith works. Good luck!

If you want to listen to one of the best performed and produced Brass Cd's I would highly recomend "Enigma" by thre Fairey FP Band , this is a recording of a performing edition arrangement of Enigma Variations for Brass Band ( arr by Eric Ball) and classic music for Brass , you have RVW Henry V Overture , a brilliant performance of A Dowland Suite by John Ireland and the Kenilworth Suite by Sir Arthur Bliss.

It's definately the best brass band CD I've ever recorded, with "Year of the Dragon" (Britannia) a close 2nd.

Fennell/Cleveland Symphonic Winds playing Holst 1st and 2nd Suite, Bach Fantasia in G, Handel's Music for The Royal Fireworks. This is a must have, in my opinion.
Cincinnati Wind Symphony has some good recordings out via the Klavier Wind Project (whatever that 'project' is called).
All of the Dallas Wind Symphony recordings are excellent as are all of the recordings by the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra.

If there's a band that has a CD, they have it.
