Bruckner Overture

Post by tubiker »

Yo

:?: Does anyone know if the Bruckner Overture in G minor has a Tuba part ?
If it has that's ok - if not someone needs to look for another Tuba player that night - The other piece on the programme  Mr Dvorak's Symphony No 9 - yawn

Any help would be appreciated

I doubt it. It was written about the same time he composed his Study Symphony (Symphony No. 00). None of his symphonies had tuba parts until the Fourth Symphony, afterwhich time every piece he wrote had great tuba parts!

I believe the orchestration is 2222 2230, no tuba.
