Fox Oboe....yes...an oboe

Post by TubaTodd »

My wife would like to sell her Fox oboe that she bought about 8 years ago in order to buy herself a tuba. YEY KELLY! The oboe was serviced about 4 years ago and has not been played in quite sometime. If anyone on here knows of someone looking for a professional quality oboe, please let me know.

Just be careful that with the change in breathing, she doesn't hyperventilate... :D
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Kelly is an accomplished flutist. The oboe was something she played on the side years ago. As an educator and a fan of the tuba, she feels she'll get more use out of a tuba sized for her (my 56J looks like a 2165 on her).

Well, I took a good look at the oboe and boy is it in like-new condition. I'm not sure what model it is. If Fox has not changed their products then I believe this oboe is a model 400 which sells for around $4000.

I'd definitely suggest posting on an oboe-related forum, such as:

http://www.8notes.com/f/forum27.asp

and... google "oboe forum" and check out others.

http://netinstruments.com/ is also a good place to advertise.
