Posting vs. Practicing

Post by sloan »

Question 1: which is the more impressive feat: playing like Bloke, or posting like Bloke?

Question 2: which goal are you chasing...right now?

I have the right to remain silent. Anything I say can and will be used against me. I have the right....

Playing like Bloke is the more impressive feat. But accomplishing that requires practice, and practice is something I can't do at work. But I can sneak posts onto Tubenet at work.

The answer to question 2 is yes.

Trying to stay upright long enough just to post like me...

Now that I've been able to start playing again, the community bad that puts up with me refers to me as "the sword of Damocles"; I sit right over the flutes...
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

C) Repair like Bloke.

I can tinker with guitars, I can tinker with home repairs/improvements, fix toys, etc., including the odd solder joint on a wire, but high heat and high voltage I leave to experts like bloke.

I think Bloke is in fact several people.

It's impossible to post so much, so well, and have some time left to play, to eat and to sleep.

Seriously now, no wonder that from time to time there is a post about Bloke. This wouldn't be the same without his capacity and will to help everyone, his peculiar humor, his everlasting knowledge that he shares with all of us.

Kind regards!

Antero.

Bloke may not be modest about everything, but he is about his playing. His "defined level of competence/excellence" is quite high and very respectable.
