Hey tubenet...
today was pretty cool. i got to play on a 6/4 BB flat tuba...the moment i played it i realized how much bigger and fuller my sound was than on a 4/4...often times when i play my solo for state (Alleujah Exualte) i put alot of emotion and feeling into it that does not always translate into a good tuba sound, but on the 6/4 it seems i can push alot of air through the horn without blatting, or that metalic sound when u blast...not that i blast in my solo at all, but the musical swells i do sometimes sound really spread..but not on the 6/4! everything is so even! Any opinions on 4/4 b flat tubas and 6/4s?
