Is there a tuba part for this work?

It's not listed in Daniels. Luck's web site says there is a tuba part; but I have an old score and there is no tuba in that edition. (There are, however, four trombone parts.)

It has a tuba part, actually a cimbasso part. The four trombones were the giveaway. If you have played the Verdi Requiem on tuba, you should be able to get away with it on this piece.

This is an awesome piece! It seems to not be very widely known. It was originally music for a ballet, but exists now as a four-movement suite. I urge anyone who doesn't know it to check it out. It is bad-***!

I've looked at my score again and the 4th trombone part is certainly within the range of a modern bass trombone. If the part was originally written for cimbasso, wouldn't it make more sense for a second bass trombone to play it?

Not if you usually have three bones and a tuba. The "tuba" part for most Verdi and Puccini works is also within the range of a bass trombone. In most of those pieces, the inticacy of the part tells you it's for a valved instrument.
