Looking for old factory pictures

Post by trseaman »

Hey everyone,

Some time back I stumbled across old factory pictures. They were awsome pictures, maybe Conn. I think they were posted by Dan O. Anyways, I have searched for them but didn't have much luck... Anyone know the thread I'm talking about???

Thanks, Tim

Yep...

I should have saved them at the time but didn't think about it... I'll keep searching and maybe drop Dan a note if I can't find them again.

Joe (Bloke),
I think you are mistaken, isn't that an Eb tuba?

Here is the old post with the images.

I should see if I can find some more in my collection, I'm sure there are a few more I have not posted.

As always, thanks Dan! While on vacation I was telling family members how it used to be done and started searching for the pics again! I never found them while I was there... :D

Yes, yes, yes... If you've got more, we would all love to see them!!!

Thanks, Tim

I used to play one of those older Besson tubas with the ball on the bottom (this one has it, if you look closely). I never understood why that was there. The newer horns don't have it. And I used that tuba for both wind ensemble and marching band. It isn't for a carrying strap!

I think I saw someone use is as something of a peg, like what's at the base of a string bass or cello. Maybe that's it. But when you put that tuba in your lap (and it's a big 'un), it makes a nice bruise in your thigh.

Here are a few more. if any of you have more from any other manufacturers, let me know, perhaps you can forward them on to me. I will be glad to post them on my server and show them here. found even more last night showing parts of Conn's woodwind departments. I will post them when time allows, got to get back to work and quit screwing around.
