Jimmy Hoffa's Body
With the news that authorities are searching a suburban Detroit horse farm for Jimmy Hoffa's body, I am planning a dig of my own in the back yards of Joe S., Wade Rackley, and Rick Denney for York #3. There has to be a reason why Joe moved to the sticks, but we can't discount Rick's or Wade's aka "The Elephant" because of their singular, and witty, comebacks that smack of a conspiracy. Don't shoot, gentleman, we can all share in the glory.

I agree completely.trseaman wrote:Sorry to the Hoffa family but I just don't understand the man-power, money and effort put into finding his remains, if they exist... Am I missing something? What's the point???

Okay, the threat of Chuck traveling all the way from Lost Wages to dig holes in my back yard forces me to come clean.Chuck Jackson wrote:With the news that authorities are searching a suburban Detroit horse farm for Jimmy Hoffa's body, I am planning a dig of my own in the back yards of Joe S., Wade Rackley, and Rick Denney for York #3.
Actually, my "Holton" is really York 3. It was made in Bb so Pop Johnson could test it in its proper form before cutting it to C for Donatelli. I have disguised it as a Holton so I an play it without being attacked and murdered by Brian Fredericksen or Bob Rusk or some other music lover.

But then, why would people go to Giants's stadium and make underground images of the end-zones!?TexTuba wrote:Now I know this may be WAY off in left field but...did anybody ever think there is no body? Maybe his body was cremated(sp?)...Just a thought.
Personally, I don't think Mr. Hoffa existed at all; he was a ficticious personage cleverly manipulated by Jim Henson.

Actually York #3 was found years ago. It will be on exhibit in Chicago with the rest of the stuff discovered in King Tut's tomb.

Does this mean that King Tut was a tuba player? And did he play with the CSO? And how about Steve Martin? Did he play on the York #3?brianf wrote:Actually York #3 was found years ago. It will be on exhibit in Chicago with the rest of the stuff discovered in King Tut's tomb.

This was thousand of years before the current Howard Johnson - it was still York #3 that he played, made thousands of years before Yorks #1 and #2.Are you sure? I thought he only played Mahillon tubas from Belgium during that time in his life.

When I talked to HoJo at the First National Tuba-Euphonium Symposium-Workshop at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (in 1975), he mentioned that he only played Mahillon.
