Conn sousaphone bell question

Post by roknrich »

Hi all, does anyone here know what the neck diameter for a Conn sousaphone would be? I'm talking about where the bell attaches to the body, say for a 14K or a 36K? There is a Conn brass sousa bell on the bay and I wonder which horn it should fit; I'm putting together a project horn and this bell would be a nice touch IF it fits properly. Thanks!

Both the 14K and the 36K are 6" on the outside of the bell tenon. All of the Conn Pan-American sousa bells I've seed are also the same size.

And you can add the Cavalier to that list as well.
