Monteregion Hills

Post by Frank Ortega »

I had heard a while back that someone put out a more legible version of the Brass Quintet piece, Suite of the Monteregion Hills by Morley Calvert.
Does anyone know where I can get a copy?

Thanks,

I picked mine up through Robert King--I think it's the only version currently in print anyway. If you're used to the old one, the new one, if anything, seems to be too spread out, but a heckuva lot more legible!

I suspect that Bryan D also carries it through BVD.

Available fromBVD Press. Much!! more legible than the original.

Search on the composer's name and the title. I originally had a hard time finding it.
Amongst aviators it is often said that any landing you can walk away from is a good landing. It's an even better landing when you can reuse the airplane.

The version Bloke is referring to is now no longer available (the big or the small versions), but the new version is a truly a nice piece of engraving! I would highly recommend it!

I agree that it is very nice printing...but the page turns (as I recall) aren't as convenient.
I just looked through the parts. All the page turns in all the parts are between the movements.

there are a couple of typos in the new typeset version... I'll find my parts and let you know what they are.
